Ammons is IBMYP!
Ammons Middle is now an officially authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Program (MYP). The March 6th letter from the International Baccalaureate Organization makes Ammons the first school-wide magnet program in Miami-Dade County to receive this prestigious recognition. Ammons is proud to offer the three-year MYP to all students in grades 6, 7 and 8.
Reminder:
School is in full swing.
Dress Code: No capri pants, shorts, pajamas, or open toed shoes are allowed. Ammons shirts are highly recommended for 7th and 8th grade and required for 6th.
All students should be writing down their homework in their agendas each day. A minimum of thirty minutes of independent reading should be taking place each night also.
Ammons Middle is working toward its eighth consecutive "A" rating by the State of Florida in the 2007-2008 school year.
