Notice:

Starting next week, the day for morning tutoring will change from Wednesday to Monday. Morning tutoring takes place in individual teachers’ classrooms from 8:25 until 8:50. Again, starting on March 30 and until the end of the year, before-school tutoring will be every Monday morning from 8:25 until 8:50 AM. The after school Coaching and Enrichment tutoring program remains unchanged, Monday through Thursday, 3:45 – 4:40 according to the attached schedule.

Ammons is IBMYP!

Ammons Middle is an officially authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Program (MYP). The March 6th letter from the International Baccalaureate Organization makes Ammons the first school-wide magnet program in Miami-Dade County to receive this prestigious recognition. Ammons is proud to offer the three-year MYP to all students in grades 6, 7 and 8.

Reminder: School starts promptly at 9:00 A.M.

Dress Code: No capri pants, shorts, pajamas, or open toed shoes are allowed. Ammons shirts are highly recommended for 8th grade and required for 6th and 7th grade students.

All students should be writing down their homework in their agendas each day. A minimum of thirty minutes of independent reading should be taking place each night also.
