Supply Lists for 2008-2009 School Year

Dear Parents:

The following lists are basic requirements for departments. At the beginning of the school year, each teacher will send a course syllabus with the requirements for that class including any specific class supplies.

Certain supplies are required for all students and certain restrictions apply schoolwide.

Each student should have with them each day:

• 2 or more blue or black pens
• 4 sharpened #2 pencils
• loose leaf paper
• Agenda (will be supplied to the students by the school during the first week of school)
• Accelerated Reader or independent reading book

Restrictions:

• No Permanent markers
• No Liquid white out

Technology Classes

Technology fee of $10 (letter will be sent home with collection dates)

Grade 6

• 1 duotang folder with prongs and pockets (NO BINDER)
• loose leaf paper in the prongs

Grade 7

Supplies will be assigned with each project.

Physical Education

P.E. uniform and athletic shoes

Uniforms will be sold at the beginning of each semester ($7.00 for the P.E. shirt and $7 for the P.E. shorts)

Guitar Classes

This year the guitar classes will be working from the following method books.

Beginning Guitar Classes: Guitar Method 1 by Aaron Stang (EL03842) Cost $5.95 or $14.95 with CD

Intermediate Guitar Classes: Guitar Method 2 by Aaron Stang (EL03843) Cost $5.95 or $14.95 with CD

Eagles Guitar: Aaron Shearer Classic Guitar Technique Volume 1 (FC01937) Cost $12.00

Art Classes

Students are required to have the following in class each time class meets:

(Purchase these items and replace as needed.)

• Drawing pencils (not mechanical) (2)

• glue bottle (1) and stick (2)
• thin black sharpie (2)
• fine tip black sharpie (2)
• colored pencils (24 pack or larger)
• a fabric or vinyl pencil case to keep all supplies in (no boxes please)
• hard bound sketchbook (8 1⁄2 X 11 inches, nothing larger please).

If students took art last year and already own a hardbound sketchbook, they can still use the same one. All the work in the old sketchbook will be collaged into the new one. One good sketchbook is required for all 3 years.

Ceramics

• a box of 50 sheets of photo paper (preferably Office Max’s Professional Heavyweight matte inkjet paper #OM96076)
• a 1GB jump drive
• a hardbound sketchbook (no spiral bound)
• Sharpie fine tip markers
• access to a digital camera

French class

1 – 3-subject spiral notebook (mandatory). The notebook will be kept in

the classroom so you will not have to carry it every day in your book

bag.

1 – duo-tang folder with pockets and paper (wide ruled). The duo tang

will be used for special assignments and home learning tasks.
